Heilongjiang Senyu Animal Husbandry Inc. is a holding company wholly held by China Swine Genetics Inc. which is a public company incorporated in the U.S.A. Senyu engages in the business of breeding and raising commercial hogs and  piglets , then distributing them to slaughter facilities and pork distributors in China. Senyu has become a large swine breeding enterprise that combines its streamline of breeding, production and marketing. It is also a provincial demonstrative base for swine breeding and production in Heilongjiang Province, China.  It is a key enterprise supported by the Heilongjiang Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau.
Senyu’s foreign Topigs project was initiated in September 2004. It has been supported by Holland Topigs International Breeding Company of its technology to Senyu’s breeding farms. The construction of both the breeding houses and the related  facilities were completed in November 2004. In the same year,  Senyu successfully imported 400 GGP breeding pigs from Holland Topigs International Company showing that the project has been put into full operation. The breeding Farm is located near Gonghe Reservoir in Mingyi Town, Huanan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. It covers a land area of 51,000 square meters of which the farm construction area takes up 11,000 square meters.  With the most advanced technology in streamline production, this land has become a core site of massive selection of pigs. The whole process is based on the adoption of standardized pig house, modernized facility, digitized management as well as its  ecological effects of this  breeding farm.  In the unremitting efforts of all the staff and under the guidance of our breeding experts, the farm has successfully bred its own brand “Senyu Pig” after more than four year effort to select the pure breed and  raise separately. The products include 020 grandparent level gilts, 030 grandparent level boars ,  080 terminal line boars , C40 parent level gilts as well  as the commercial piglets and hogs. Now the production performance index of the breeding swine is very outstanding. The breeding swine has such several characteristics of good body conformation ,  strong legs, fast growth , strong palatability , strong disease resistance ,  good breeding performance and crossbreeding superiority etc. .
In order to perfect well-bred breeding system and quicken the pace of swine genetics improvement, in December 2005 , Senyu signed a cooperative agreement with Polar Genetics Inc. which is a well-known Canadian swine genetics and leading swine breeding company in Alberta , Canada. A join-venture called Heilongjiang Sino-Canadian Senyu-Polar Swine Genetics Inc. was established in Jiamusi City, China. The breeding farm is located in Heijinhe Town, Tangyuan County , Jiamusi City , Heilongjiang Province. It has a land area of 300,000 square meters of which takes up farm construction area of 20,000 square meters.
On October 12 , 2007 , Senyu placed one order and imported 628 variety of Canadian elite purebred pigs, including Duroc , Landrace , Yorkshire and its one of the kind breed—“Lacombe”, they were carefully selected and supplied to us by Polar Genetics Inc. The Joint-venture farm has been fully supported by the experts of Polar Genetics Inc. by utilizing the most advanced technology of breeding and selection under the guidance of the Canadian Center for Swine Improvement (CCSI ). All breeding and selection data are tested and evaluated by CCSI through E-Farm software to ensure various  production performance of the breeding swine.  With this support directly from CCSI, our farm is able to breed our own pigs at the same pace and the same standard as CCSI.
Senyu pays more attention to the investment in cultivating its people talent , scientific research , production equipment and facilities. It now has a professional R&D team that focuses on developing advanced procedures and technologies in artificial insemination, herd health control, monitoring and bio-safety. Senyu has taken advantage of mastering the world’s leading technologies and sole patents in breeding and raising Canadian bred swine, it now has become the only purebred Canadian-line-swine breeding center in PRC.  Senyu now has owned its most advanced breeding bases with the most up-to-date technology and equipment and the brand name of “Senyu” is well recognized in most major markets in China.
